At Costco 'everything resonates with the consumer'
The club retailer continues to post strong results quarter after quarter while many in the industry struggle to survive.
Though many retailers are concerned about the possibility of another recession in the near future, Costco may benefit from one because, as Coresight notes, more consumers shop for private labels during times of economic uncertainty.
In fact, Costco in 2017 announced plans to build a chicken-processing plant in Freemont, Nebraska, which recently opened, in order to have total control over its poultry supply chain.

Meet the Sneaker Collectors Who Intentionally Buy Fake Shoes
As hyped-up, limited-run sneakers from brands like Nike and Adidas become increasingly difficult to obtain, some shoppers are instead buying inauthentic “replicas” that are so well-made they could fool almost anyone.

How retro candy brands are hitting the nostalgia sweet spot
Just in time for Halloween, Russell Stover and others are rethinking their marketing and positioning. Will consumers bite?
