Luxury brands are finding success with streetwear among Chinese consumers — a move that has enabled them to charge higher prices.
Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès and Dior were among the top five brands listed under the "sneaker" hashtag on popular Chinese shopping app RED, according to Gartner L2's "Luxury China: Streetwear Insight" report last month.

Baby boomers are struggling to downsize — and it could create the next housing crisis
Older Americans are forced to choose between downsizing or aging in place with rising mortgages rates and high home prices playing almost too big of a role for most, according to Bankrate.
Aging in place, however, can be harder to do if boomers' homes aren't equipped to meet their future needs, says Jennifer Molinsky, senior research associate at the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University.
This type of housing (think granny flat or mother-in-law suite) offers a livable solution for seniors who want to age in place and generate rental income, live near family, or eventually bring in-home care help down the road, Arigoni says.

America Is Losing the Chinese Shopper
China was once eager to spend on U.S. brands. Then citizens of the world’s biggest country shifted their allegiances.
But foreign consumer brands now hold a smaller market share in the categories tracked by McKinsey & Co. than at any time since the global financial crisis, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of research from the U.S. consulting firm, incorporating data from Euromonitor and IHS Markit .
